Research handling guidelines
The following guidelines outline recommended handling, storage, and documentation practices for BioGenisys research compounds in laboratory environments.
Proper storage
- Store lyophilized peptide vials sealed at -20 °C. Protect from light.
- Store prepared laboratory solutions according to the research protocol and the stability data on the COA.
- Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve compound integrity.
- Store all compounds away from direct light and humidity.
- Ensure containers remain sealed when not in use.
Laboratory handling
- Handle all compounds under aseptic conditions using sterile equipment.
- Select laboratory solvents according to compound specifications and the research protocol.
- Avoid vigorous agitation of solutions, which may denature peptide chains.
- Work in a clean environment such as a laminar flow hood when preparing solutions.
- Wear appropriate PPE including gloves and eye protection during handling.
Compound stability
- Stability profiles vary by compound — always refer to the specific COA for shelf-life data.
- Most lyophilized peptides maintain stability for 12–24 months when stored correctly.
- Stability of prepared solutions varies by compound and solvent and should be verified for each research protocol.
- Environmental exposure including heat, UV light, and oxidation will degrade compound quality.
- Document storage conditions and timestamps as part of research record-keeping.
Documentation reference
- Request the certificate for the lot printed on your vial label on our Certificates of Analysis page.
- Independent lab testing on select lots. Certificates on request where available.
- Maintain COA records alongside research logs for traceability and reproducibility.
- Request lot-specific documentation through the BioGenisys Certificates of Analysis page.
- Contact support@biogenisysco.com for documentation questions or batch inquiries.
