Do I need to be a customer?
No.
What if my customer uses another code later?
You still earn, unless it's another partner's code.
Is there a cookie window?
90 days. A new customer who opens your link and signs up within 90 days on the same device becomes yours, even if they never type your code. Your link also fills in your code at checkout.
